Hi everybody!
One of my favorite phrases in Japanese is 「現代っ子」 and one of my favorite students is a 現代っ子…so…today`s key phrase is…
a 21st Century boy
(現代っ子が女の子だったらもちろん “a 21st Century girl” って言うんですね。)
Here is an example.
This boy, a regular student in my Mama & Baby Class every Friday afternoon, is 19 months old but he can use an i-phone!
Isn`t that amazing?!?!
I am a 超機械オンチ so I can`t use an i-phone at all but my youngest student (just 19 months!!) can.
You don`t believe me??
By the way, the way to say “21st Century” is “twenty-first,” NOT “twenty-oneth.” “Twenty-first” って言うんですね!
Let`s practice a few times…“a twenty-first century boy”…”a twenty-first century girl”…”a twenty-first century kid.”
And here`s one more…
How do you say 「I am a 機械オンチ」 in English?? Just say…
I`m terrible with machines.
Well, that`s it for today.
catch you later (^。^)/
