日本語の場合はだいたい受身を使うでしょう。For example…

「この間スタバでイギリス人のおじさんにナンパされた。」 英語でも受身を使えます。 For example, “The other day at Starbucks I was hit on by a middle-aged British guy”って言ってもいいんだけど、英語だったら active sentence (受身じゃない方ね)のほうが使われている。 For example…The other day at Starbucks a middle-aged British guy hit on me.
