The other day we discussed the phrase “good taste.” I mentioned that “good taste” is not real English. Actually, native speakers often use the phrase “good taste,” but it doesn`t mean 「美味しい」; it means センスが良い。 Here are some example sentences:
He has good taste. (彼はセンスがいい。)
You have good taste in clothes! (ファッションセンスがいいね！)
She has good taste in furniture. (彼女は家具のセンスがいい。)
So, to review the last two blogs, 「食べ物・飲み物 is good taste」 is ジャパニーズイングリッシュ but 「誰々 have/has good taste」 is Real English! But it doesn`t mean ｢美味しい」。 There are lots of ways to say ｢美味しい」 in English – please check the previous blog!! この前のブログもチェックして下さい！
