Hi everybody! Here is an easy phrase that native speakers use very often:
Take your time.
急がなくてもいいっていう意味だけど日本語の「どうぞごゆっくり」とは使い方が違うので三つのシチュエーションで覚えましょう…
① Before our meeting, could you first please fill out this form. Please take your time. (面会の前に、まずは、このプリントに記入して頂けますか?)
② Taro: Hanako, will you marry me? (はな子、結婚して下さい!)
Hanako: What?! It’s too soon! We just met last week! Let’s take our time. (え?! まだ早いよ! だって、先週知り合ったでしょ?)
③ Taro: Are you still eating?! (はな子まだ食事中なの?!)
Hanako: Yes. I like to take my time and enjoy my meal. (そう! だって、ゆっくり食べるのが一番でしょ?)
